  This condo is in the perfect location, steps from the coast and offers everything you would ever need for a fantastic holiday. Every evening take a few short steps to an amazing sunset while you prepare dinner at the outdoor bbque area, complete with multiple grills to accommodate all the new friends you'll meet there.
  We were there during a very busy whale season and you could see whales breaching and playing in the water right off the coastline of the property.
  Our host Martha is extremely generous and very kind. Always available and wanting you to have the best experience.

  This is a fantastic location. The pool, poolside bbq, and beach are all delightful. The kitchen is well supplied. The condo was comfortable except the fold out bed needs to be replaced. It was so soft and saggy you could feel the springs. Our 30 yo daughter just slept on the closed couch. Also noted that the portable AC units are not very effective. We basically did not use them after the first day. The prop manager gets an “unprofessional “ as she basically accused us of using the AC with windows open, and complained that the owner’s electric bill had gotten extremely high. We were using the unit as a fan only to help move air through the unit. I would stay in the area again but maybe not through this management company.

  We thought B-208 was a very clean and well looked after unit and the management (Martha) was very good to deal with. The beach here is not as nice as those further south and the water is not as clear either. We've been to Maui 2 times now and are finding that we are getting too many negative reactions from some angry (mostly young) locals which is causing us to think perhaps of another location to vacation. (Specifically we heard: "Get off the road!", "Get off the *@!ing road", got the finger from one guy who thought we didn't pull over soon enough to let him by (when there was no place), and worst of all: on a very narrow bit of road around west maui we had a local speed up and drive right at us on our side of the road with the expectation that we would swerve into the rock wall beside us - it was a miracle that he managed to get past us without hitting us or going off the road! The Aloha seems to be diminishing unfortunately.

  This was my 31st trip to the islands so I'm not a beginner. The WBH was all that I anticipated and more. Condo was clean, well-furnished and comfortable with a great close view of the ocean. Only complaint is a Hawaiian problem - the island is being overrun with **** wild chickens. The daily 4:30 am wake up from the roosters was horrible. Loved sleeping with the windows all open & the ocean breezes but not the early wake up squawking. Chickens are everywhere: beach areas, shopping centers and on the WBH property.

  The location was really great for us. The AC in the bedroom was nice but I think it would of been better to have the whole apartment with AC because the living room became like a hot box. Even with the windows and doors open. There was also quite and ant problem so we really didn’t keep anything out on counters. The door was also pretty confusing to figure out how to lock it mostly. You have to keep it a certain way for it to lock. Also I booked this like 3 month in advance and we had a later flight so I was trying to get a little bit later of a check out and the response to that wasn’t too nice in my opinion. She really didn’t wanna help us with trying to figure it out. But other then those things everything else was amazing.

  The major players of the wedding we were attending were based across the street, so WBH #208 was incredibly convenient. The unit was immaculate, and the property manager responded immediately to an appliance mystery. A mirror wall gave the impression of extra space, and provided additional light. The grounds are gorgeous; it's a short walk to a long sandy beach with snorkel potential. More prosaically, a well-stocked grocery store, several restaurants, and shops are a couple of blocks away. This is a solid ocean-view unit.

  We stayed for 2 1/2 weeks and really enjoyed unit 208. We had a great view of the water and could see the humpback whales right from the lanai. We like to cook in and the kitchen was well stocked. Martha was attentive to our needs and her customer service was exceptional. The beach in front of the condo is so nice and sitting there and watching whales and later the sunset was the highlight of our trip. The place is within walking distance of several restaurants, a grocery store, and even the liquor store. There is a walk in medic clinic a short walk away, which I used when I was bitten/stung by something and the bite started looking strange. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hope to stay there again sometime.

  We booked this last minute and the owner was extremely helpful and responsive. Upon arrival, the place was absolutely spotless and loved all the nice little touches, plumeria flower decor. The place is exactly if not nicer than the photos on the site. We only had one very minor issue and could not figure out the dishwasher, but after pushing start really really hard it finally started and all was good. I did contact the owner and she was very quick to send someone over. The property itself is beautiful, pool is spotless and you are literally on the beach where you can watch sea turtle play and watch the most amazing sunsets. Condo is stocked with usual basics. The bed was a dream to sleep in and sheets were immaculate. The lanai was perfect for breakfast in the morning and dinner/wine at night and is ocean view. Location is great, grocery store next door, coffee shop across the street. Italian bakery/restaurant within walking distance (amazing Eggs Benedict) I would highly recommend this condo and would stay here again.

  This was our first time staying at this property. We had a lovely time. The location is very convenient for many beaches and activities, the condo was very nice, and it was great to be able to walk to the beach without having to cross a busy street. It's a bit noisy, kind of like being in a village where things are always happening, but it was fine for us. You can hear people talking on nearby lanais or in the beautiful garden area, sometimes the manager (?) would be doing noisy work in the morning, and the birds are very loud too -- nature is not always quiet! It was things like that, nothing that disturbed our sleep. The king bed was very comfortable, and the sofa sleeper was good enough for our 15-year-old son. Martha was great to deal with when booking the condo. All in all it was a wonderful place for us, and we hope to be back some day.

  We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone there was very friendly. we especially enjoyed the sunsets every night and met some great people! The king bed was very comfortable. The pull out was meant for the kids, as I tried it one night and it wasn't great for me. We had everything we needed! We even had 2 boogie boards. we ended up buying one at Costco and left it there! Our boys loved it here too and would like to come back! Grocery store is a 1 minute walk! We explored all of the beaches and had a jeep rental, so that worked out great too. The pool was very nice as well. The condo was equipped with spices,coffee and sugar and some condiments in the fridge which was nice!

  For our first experience through VRBO, we were pleasantly surprised. We weren't sure what to expect but had a fabulous time here at Waiohuli Beach Hale. Our temporary home here for one week was very nice for just the two of us. The property was well maintained. Property manager was very accommodating. The home we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. No bugs seen and we had the comfort of everything we needed as expected. We were just steps from the beach which was fabulous.   The condo was lovely, but there were two things that didn't quite hit the mark. The first was that there were three of us, and this condo is geared more for two people, as it only had AC in the bedroom. The rest of the condo was super hot and quite uncomfortable to sleep (only fans available). The sofa bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The second thing was the ants. They were everywhere. We had to keep ALL of our food in the fridge. The ant killer only stopped them for a couple of hours. On the plus side, the condo was extremely well equipped and the beach chairs, sun umbrella and boogie boards were much appreciated. Martha was awesome and very responsive to all my questions.

  We stayed at the Waiohuli Beach Hale #208 last May (2016) for 7 days and decided we enjoyed it so much we wanted to come back; so we rented it again this past May (2017) for 10 days. Not only did we return, but 2 other couples that are friends rented condos on our recommendation. It is our desire to come again next year and stay in #208. It is very well furnished and so convenient to all we want to do and is not crowded. Our condo manager Martha is wonderful and does provide good customer service especially if there is a problem.

  Our place was perfect.
  We couldn't ask for a better spot in Maui. We have stayed in Kihei before and this area is nice and quite, just off the street and right on the beach.

  we would recommend this to anyone coming to Maui. This is our 3rd visit to the island and we would stay in Hale #208 in a heartbeat.

  This condo has everything you would ever need to feel comfortable while being away from home. The location is great; not too far from any of the islands must see places. You can walk to dinner after being out all day exploring. (Coconuts and Nalu's are very close) The beach at the property is clean and not crowed. We saw/swan with turtles everyday and could see whales playing out in the distance. A beautiful beach to watch the sunset with your honey and a glass of wine, then head out for dinner (or cook a romantic dinner in the fully stocked kitchen!). Will definitely return on our next trip to the Islands <3

  Our stay at Waiohuli was great! The condo was just like the pictures show, nice and clean, spacious, perfect for two people. The beach was nice and private. The pool was awesome to have as an option if you didn't feel like getting full of sand and salt. It was about a 30mins walk into Kihei which we found a little far but also meant that it was nice and quiet so a bit of a toss up. Grocery store was across the street so that was convenient. Wifi was super slow which we found frustrating when trying to research stuff or check in for our flights.

  Waiohuli Beach Hale offers a complete get away from the holiday madness that has become Maui. The 54-unit property is located within a residential area thus the beaches are relatively uninhabited and strikingly clean and safe. The lovely swimming pool offers a clean and relaxing alternative to the surf. A welcome addition is the upgrade to Weber barbeques offering the opportunity to meet new friends. You will not be disappointed!

  This complex, although appearing to be dated from the street, is quite a surprise once you enter the property! It is very well maintained and beautifully landscaped. The unit was clean, completely supplied with all the basics and so nicely decorated, right down to the plumerias artfully placed about! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!
