  Fantastic upgraded unit literally 50 yards from the beach. The unit itself had renovated bathrooms and kitchen and small perks like wall unit AC and fully stocked with beach gear. Relatively quiet and excellent access to restaurants. The beach itself is great for snorkeling, swimming, or simply walking on the beach. Make sure to use the PayRange app to wash/dry your clothes (and avoid Mondays!). Would definitely stay here again!

  The condo was equipped with most of what we needed and that was helpful since we flew in from Atlanta, GA. However, there was a constant 'damp' smell in the bedrooms. It was not mold but due to the rooms getting no light whatsoever, a damp smell permeated the beadrooms and you could not get rid of it. The condo also had an extremely poor internet connection which contantly was spinning and re-connecting. Everything is viewed through the internet now; calls, TV, laptops, computers, phone - and having a good connection is critical. We could not watch any TV in the condo due to constant connection problems and it was the same with our ipads. Very frustrating. There also should be easier access to the laundry room. No information was given as to hours of operation for the laundry, how to get the access code for the laundry to work, etc.

  Excellent stay at 201. Love the location, with beach, 5 palms rentals, Zacs general store, and all that both Kihei and Wailea have to offer. The condo is super well appointed and stocked, and we appreciated the beach stuff on the lanai. The pool is a little cold for swimming but a nice option for kids. 201 is pretty dark, being at the back of the building, which we appreciated because it stayed cool and made for great sleeping in and naps!

  HHK #201 was the ideal location and unit for my solo remote work/live experiment. While I had a couple friends join me part of the time - the location, complex, unit, technology and amenities were ideal for just me to work hard, and still have a full afternoon to serve as a weekend every day! Martha and the Quality Real Estate team were so responsive and welcoming. And the other neighbors and managers of the property were so friendly, welcoming and easygoing. It was so nice to engage with and meet new people in person (socially distanced and masked of course). Property and unit matched their descriptions and online photos. It was impeccably clean and well-stocked with everything -- kitchen ingredients/appliances/food serving+storage items + all beach equipment, towels, cooler.. and more! Access to Wailea and Kihei shopping and restaurants super easy. And the beach... is... right... there! I can't wait to return -- soon!

  The apartment was the best equipped we had every seen. Everything for the beach (umbrellas, fins, chairs, boogie boards, lots of towels) and for the kitchen (anything tool you can think of is in the kitchen). The beach is the most beautiful that we saw on Maui. The snorkeling from the beach and tide pooling was very good. The apartment has a balcony overlooking a dense tropical forest garden with a fountain. We found it totally relaxing to have breakfast there every morning and sometimes sat there in the evening too. You cannot see any other unit from the porch, so you feel very isolated and it is quiet except for the fountain, which is lovely. The landscaping throughout the complex is outstanding and very well kept. There is a nice patio before the beach with all kinds of chairs and tables for watching the sunset.

  We love staying at HHK condos. It is a small and quiet place right on a fantastic beach in Kihei. The beach is wonderful and you can walk for a long distance. Beautiful sunsets too, plus lots of turtles. Unit 201 was just as pictured on the site. Very nicely updated and nice air conditioning. The two beds and two bathrooms were great. Loved having a full kitchen and living space. The patio had lots of items for the beach and plenty of towels were available. We will recommend the unit to friends and family.   This was the most beautiful vacation rental we have ever stayed in. It had every possible amenity. The kitchen was truly a chefs kitchen, it was very well equipped. Plenty of towels and extra bedding. The AC in each room was wonderful while staying in the summer months. Charming complex. We left extememly satisfied with our stay in room 201.

We were also pleased that it was stocked so well with the little things. Our kids were happy to have the space and the neighbors were lovely to them and our family.   We had the BEST time! we particularly loved the old-Hawaii feeling, far from mega hotels on a wonderful beach. The sitting area by the pool/ocean was just the right size and comfortable. Hearing the trash and recycle bins early in the morning didn't even bother us because we were so happy there.

  The location of the Hale Hui Kai complex is great if you are looking to stay in South Kihei. The beach is great for swimming and snorkling. The condo is updated and spacious and clean. Because of the lack of windows and foliage around the small balcony, the condo is dark so it's not someplace you want to hangout long but the common area is lovely and overlooks the pool and ocean with views of Molokini. The back rooms are very warm; even with the portable AC units and fans (in August) so if being hot while you are sleeping is a concern I'd look for another unit. It was well stocked with kitchen, beach chairs, beach towels, snorkling gear so you do not need to pack any of that with you wich is nice. Manager was prompt, friendly, and professional

  Hale Hui Kai is a wonderful old Hawaiian complex. The condos feel like home - our condo had two bedrooms and two baths and a large kitchen.
  
  Everything would have been great, but for construction at the property next door. The noise and smells made it impossible to be in the room on week days.

  We just returned from our stay in unit #201 at the Hale Hui Kai in Maui. We stayed for a little over two weeks and loved this unit. We were a party of 5 – my husband, 4 year old son & I and my parents. We had read in other reviews that this unit was well stocked in the kitchen and for the beach - we were not disappointed! It is literally just a two minute walk from the room to the beach. My husband and I snorkeled right off the beach and saw lots of coral and fish. On a number of occasions we saw sea turtles while snorkeling! Our overall stay was excellent and the only thing that would have made this trip more comfortable was to have air conditioning in the unit.

  If you want to "party," do not rent this condo. This is a condo in a quiet beachside location. The condo is well located next to a gorgeous beach. The unit was cozy and well appointed. The only downside was that the King bed squeaked when you moved, and all sounds carried throughout the complex. We had a wonderful relaxing family vacation.

  We stayed in this condo for a week. The location is perfect! The only problem we had was how vigilantly the management presued sand in the hallways. We were actually awoken at 7:50am one morning from a knock on the door to tell us to wash sand off before we came in, which we had but being right in the beach it's near impossible to get rid of it all. We also got a noise warning at 8:30pm the first night we were there while playing cards, even though quiet time is 10pm (and we weren't being overly loud for 8:30pm anyway). Overall we loved Maui and would definetly stay in the area again. Just maybe some where else where we wouldn't be harassed for enjoying the beach and sun. We kind of felt like we were walking on eggshells whenever we came back to the condo.
