From the expansive 72’ lanai, enjoy sweeping vistas of the Pacific. Spot playful whales from December to April and be captivated by Maui's breathtaking sunsets. The centerpiece of this home is the enchanting non-heated lava rock pool, accompanied by a cascading waterfall, offering moments of pure rejuvenation. For a touch of modern luxury, submerge into serenity in the new hot tub, perfectly positioned on the lanai.

Inside, there is au Fitjitsu split system AC in all rooms for ultimate comfort. Multiple color TVs, a Bose Bluetooth speaker, as well as a fully-appointed kitchen ready for your vacation meals. After exploring the island's beauty, refresh in the outdoor shower. As evening embraces the island, light up the BBQ on the lanai, and enjoy the night sky.

Situated in the peaceful Maui Meadows neighborhood, Hale Alana is a fully permitted vacation rental just a ten-minute drive from the pristine beaches of South Maui. Kindly note, the pool is accessed at the base of the driveway. A legally permitted tenant cottage, home to our on-site property manager, stands discreetly at the property's edge. Rest assured, the gardens and pools remain exclusive for Hale Alana guests and the property manager.

  Our family of 6, plus an 8-month-old infant, spent a week at this amazing location. The view from the two master bedrooms, kitchen, living room and spacious deck was incredible. Each night, after a long day of excursions, we spent time in the hot tub relaxing. The location is close to great restaurants, beaches with free parking, the airport, and a great starting point for the many adventures Maui has to offer. I was most impressed with the host Martha. She was amazing. I challenge anyone to find something that is not available in the house. And if you do find you are missing something, Martha will get it for you. We needed a rice cooker one night and the one at the house was missing a piece. In just 2 hours, Martha had gone out and replaced it with a new one. She even brought over fresh fruit on multiple occasions. We had a late flight out on our last day and Martha was very accommodating on letting us stay beyond normal checkout so we could enjoy the entire final day and shower before the long flight home. The home is very spacious allowing for the family to be together or take alone time when needed. Thanks Martha for everything and we hope to see you again.

  1. We had an amazing time at this vacation rental! Right from the start, we were blown away by how clean, spacious, and well-equipped the house was. It looked just like the photos and description on VRBO. The kitchen had everything we needed to whip up our meals, and the living areas were perfect for the whole family. The deck with the hot tub was a fantastic way to unwind after a long day at the beach, and the sunset views were just incredible. We even caught some fireworks from the Grand Wailea resort! Plus, the location was super convenient, with stores, coffee shops, and one of the best beaches we've ever visited, Makena, just a stone's throw away.
  
  Martha, our host, was so attentive and thoughtful, giving us clear instructions and quick replies to any questions we had. It really felt like a home away from home, and we couldn't have asked for a better vacation. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!

  I’ve stayed in a lot of rental houses over the years & have had really good luck finding great places. But, I have to say, this one tops them all.
  
  First off, the house is beautiful, spotless, and meticulously maintained. It sits on a hill at the north edge of Wailea overlooking a perfectly manicured back yard, a stunning pool, and a wide expanse of ocean, islands, and sunset.
  It’s a very short trip down the hill to a fun & lively area of Kihei, full of casual bars & restaurants. It’s an even shorter trip to the resort area of Wailea & all of its amenities. And the beaches - well, just pick one. They’re all right there. Depending on what vibe you like, it’s within 5-10 minutes from the front door.
  The on-site manager is kind, responsive, and available if you need her.
  I highly recommend this rental & am looking forward to returning soon.

  This rental is just fabulous. To start, the location is great- very close to South Maui Gardens, restaurants and many lovely beaches. The house is spacious, comfortable and super clean. The bathrooms are very nice, especially the 2 towards the back side of the house. The hot tub is perfect and the view is breathtaking. We especially loved watching the amazing sun sets from there!
  The real highlight for us as we have 3 kids was the pool. It, and the entire backyard area, is a haven of peace and luxury. The pictures simply don't do it justice. We swam daily, and really loved the waterfall feature (runs 9am to 4pm) , the tropical plants, the statues, and the pool equipment provided.
  The air conditioning works really well and the beds were comfortable. The house is fully, even more than fully, equipped with first aid, kitchen supplies, reef safe sunscreen, and ALL of the beach equipment you may need. There is a whole closet of it in the garage.
  The property managers are responsive and helpful. We had everything we needed and more. This property is expensive for a reason- we found it to be 100% worth it.

The garden is spectacular and allows for peaceful hang outs by the lava rock pool. We enjoyed the ocean view while relaxing in the hot tub on the lanai and watching the sunsets every night. Keawakapu beach is a 7 min drive away and the home had all the beach supplies including lots of towels and beach chairs needed for a day out.   The home and grounds were immaculate. There was plenty of room for everyone to gather together or have some privacy. The outdoor space and views were fabulous. The pool area was lovely although the water was too cold for me! We spent time watching the whales, grilling meals and relaxing on the spacious lanai. Martha had everything we could want or need. The house has everything for going to the beach to books, games, cleaning supplies to dishes and serving pieces for having a dinner party. There was comfortable bedding, towels and toiletries. The residential neighborhood was quiet and close to beaches, restaurants and shopping. It was a perfect stay and I can’t say enough positive things about our great stay here!

  Wow, this place is incredible! Immediately upon arrival we were taken aback by the beauty of the location, decor, and landscaping. The entire property is so well maintained and equipped, and extremely comfortable. All of the bedrooms were beyond our satisfaction in terms of bed comfort, bathroom amenities, and space. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the cookware and tools you'd need. The views from all parts of the house were amazing - the bedrooms and showers had incredible ocean views, and the amount of space on the lanai was so wonderful. We were able to do yoga on the lanai, eat at the table/chairs there, and enjoy the sun and hot tub all while watching whales spout and breach away. What a magical place to stay! We also enjoyed that this place offers a little more privacy and quiet as it is up the mountain tucked away from the resorts, but still close enough for a short drive to the beach or nearby restaurants. Hosts were also very responsive, kind and accommodating. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

  Despite the fire, we enjoyed out stay at Hale Alana. The grounds and pool area place you in a tropical paradise. The property manager left on our 4th day. The temporary caretakers left early and returned late but we only needed help lighting the BBQ which we identified the tank needed replacing. We travel to Hawaii almost every year and have stayed at some of the top areas in Wailea and Makena. The view at Hale Alana rivaled all. It does show its age. Kitchen lacks necessary cooking utensils and several things need replacing due to age. The TV monitors circa 1990,which definitely need updating to smart devices. Despite the few shortcomings, we would definitely return once the island recovers from the devastation.

  WOW is the only way to describe Hale Alana. The views are amazing and the grounds are perfect. Even after the bad storms, the place was in back tip top shape quickly. We could see whales everywhere during our stay. Such a awesome sight to see breaches and blows while sitting in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything you need to cook every meal. The rooms were great with comfortable beds and linens. Martha and her husband were wonderful and on top of things. Communication was great and very responsive. It is nestled in a quiet neighborhood just above Wailea and kihei. Only a very short car ride to all the best beaches, grocery stores and restaurants. It is a clean and spacious home that is comfortable with 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and the house is loaded with all required beach gear to make visits to the ocean very easy.

  We traveled to Maui with 5 teenagers! Hale Alana was a very comfortable space for all of us, with plenty of space and amenities. The pool is absolutely amazing (although it closed at 6:30 pm, which was a little early) and the the hot tub was lovely on the deck. The house has an old-school "Hawaiian" feel and is very comfortable. The kitchen has just about every appliance you could need, plus plenty of space to prepare food. The house is fairly central to Maui activities and the Kihei beaches were awesome and easy to get to.

  This house is absolutely beautiful. It has an amazing view of the Ocean and sunsets and while it is quite close to all amenities it also retains its quiet seclusion in a neighbourhood very close to Wailea and Kihei.
  
  It has a fully stocked kitchen and 3 lovely bedrooms. It also has a huge back yard that your kids can play in and a nice private pool that is perfect for hot days as it is nice and cool. Theres a hot tub on the deck to warm up in and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets!

  Holy ****...this house was awesome! When I saw the pictures I thought it was too good to be true, but the house did not disappoint.
  
  Martha met us at the house when we first arrived and was so nice! She explained everything about the house and gave us an insight on where to go and what do in Maui. The kitchen was huge, well equipped for any meal you could possibly cook, and they even had a second fridge in the garage.
  
  The rooms were spacious, clean, and each had their own full bathroom. Two rooms had glass sliding doors that opened up the porch and had a beautiful view of the sunrise/sunset.
  
  The pool was shaded for most of the day, but when the sun was out, the pool was great. The backyard was big and had enough room for my brother and I to play some paddle ball.
  
  Finally, and in my opinion the most important thing, the location of the house was literally perfect. It was secluded in a nice neighborhood so we didn't have a lot of noise, but conveniently close enough to all the beaches, restaurants, and activities we did on the trip.
  
  I hope that one day our family can come back to Martha's place and rent it out for 2 weeks instead of 8 days.

  Our family vacation to Maui was fabulous. After exploring the island and enjoying the ocean and beaches, we came back to our vacation home away from home-Hale Alana.
  The home was very comfortable for 6 adults, it is beautifully appointed and well represented through the website. Martha responded promptly to all concerns and directed us to activities/services in the area. There were also great island resources at the house.
  We were 7-15 minutes from great beaches and snorkeling. (Snorkeling/beach chairs/toys were available at the house for our use. Thanks!) In addition, we enjoyed sunsets (watching for the "green flash" from the balcony, played at the pool and in the hot tub. It was easy to relax in the comforts of this place!

  Hale Alana is a beautiful and comfortable vacation home. Wake up refreshed in your spacious bedroom (two with the fabulous view), enjoy a leisurely breakfast prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, and then head for one of the nearby inviting beaches. After fun in the sun and the surf, with perhaps some snorkeling and paddleboarding, you may want to take a break in the heat of the day. No problem. Head ‘home.’ After lunch, cool off in the lovely, afternoon-shaded pool. Before you know it, you’re on the lanai taking in the awesome view of the sunset. Now, this is one great vacation.
  
  Everyone in our family group, from preschooler granddaughter to this gray-haired granddad, had a wonderful time. And it was all made easier and problem-free with the help provided from Martha. We highly recommend you enjoy all that Hale Alana has to offer.

  We travelled with our 3 children. We were suppose to with our parents too but health wouldn't permit their travel last minute. But if they came, it would have still been spacious for our families.

  We have stayed in Maui many times in the past and our family absolutely loved Hale Alana. The location is just a few minutes away from all the main beaches in Kihei and Wailea but you are nestled into a very nice, quiet residential area. The view is breathtaking as you have a complete 180 degree view of the ocean off the lanai. You can watch the sunset every night which we enjoyed. The house itself has 3 large bedrooms with their own private bathrooms. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything that we needed. It was in fact probably the best stocked home that we have ever stayed in.There is an extra fridge and freezer in the garage as well which comes in handy. The house was very clean. The den was a nice place for the entire family to gather. The house also has more than enough beach towels, umbrellas and chairs as well as tons of toys and snorkel sets.
  
  Martha and her assistant, Evelyn, were very welcoming and responsive to anything extra that we required. Booking was easy. Communication was great.
  The house has a very large back yard that kids can play in. You access it from the side driveway which is easy. That is where the pool is too. The pool is cool but much larger than the pictures make it out to be and is quite refreshing.
  There is another house on the property but to be honest you would not even know that it was the same property as it is completely separate and private. There were no issues with the other house. We did see the tenants when we were collecting passion fruit from our yard and they were very sweet.
  The hot tub off the deck was great to be in to watch the sunset or after a beach day. The furniture and electronics were all comfortable and functional.

  Hale Alana is a perfect house, indubitably. We were seven persons (5 adults and 2 teenagers).
  It is fully equipped, clean, easy to be managed, extremely quiet and with a beautiful view and a very relaxing garden and swimming pool (that, even though it is small, can allow guests to have a very refreshing and relaxing bath). No one detail has disappointed us. Above all, Martha Ingalls has been a SUPERB manager, able to make us feel at home from the very first hour and taking care of all of us in a very warm and discrete way.   This house was great for floor plan and location. We love a great view and this house didn't disappoint. The floor plan 3/3, with rooms nicely separated from each other.
  
  The house does not have all the usual upgrades and is stuck in the 70's, but has been well taken care of over the years.
  
  The only issue was the non-heated pool. During the winter (even in Maui) the pool was unusable - just WAY TOO COLD). This was not mentioned in the VRBO listing.
  
  I would also like to see some of the little things, like towel racks, faucets, etc. be repaired so they don't fall off.
  
  We had a bit of an issue with the property manager. We had 2 6 month olds with us. I did mentioned we'd have 2 children in the booking request. We didn't specify ages since it didn't ask for ages. For some reason it was a big deal to the manager. She seemed pretty upset that she didn't know the ages, but she never asked. If she needed to know the ages of the children she should've asked. I can't give answers to questions that are not asked...
  
  All in all, we had a wonderful time, enjoying the beautiful view, whale watching and eating dinner on the lanai.

  We came back to Hawaii to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We were here for our honeymoon and said we would come back. This house has it ALL. You do not need to bring anything. Because Martha thought of it all. Awesome, open floor plan. Lots of space for everyone. The book on the kitchen table has so much information from restarants, beaches, shopping, etc. Lots of glass to bring in the ocean and beutiful landscape. Each night we sat sipping cocktails and watching the sunsets. Each night the sunset colors were so different. The house is close to everything and is in a quiet neighborhood. Martha was wonderful. She came over to meet us. Asked what we wanted to do on our vacation and gave us lots of choices. Having a pool on the property was great. Sometimes you just want to relax instead of packing up and going to the beach. The pool is deep enough to dive. This house truely felt like home. It was a perfect vacation.
